The showpiece of the exhibition is a 19th Century oversized (265cm x 108cm) Ordinance Survey Map
‘Plan of the Fortress and Peninsular of Gibraltar including the Spanish Survey of 1865’
Created by Lieutenant Charles Warren Royal Engineers.
In addition, the Theatre Royal installation Tito’s Window is also a highlight.
Six glass cabinets will display a selection of dioramas created by Ralph Capurro.
Together with a selection of irreplaceable, original GNA treasures.
Also on display, a selection of early to mid-twentieth century lithographic objects.
Including printing Stones (lithographic limestone), metal plates with smooth surfaces and printing cubes.
The GNA Conservation Toolkit will be on display with daily tutorials and demonstrations at 1100, 1400 and 1700.
The exhibition includes live Digitisation at the exhibition venue using the SD-1 Contex Large Format Scanner.
